Hello!
my elderly Mother has been prescribed oxycodone for arthritis but. I have been told it’s not very good for arthritis pain. It seems to be affecting her dementia and she is having side effects.
just want to get it under control for her.
is there any safer alternatives we could try supplements/gels creams
Thank You

Hi @Cj2016
Welcome to the online community.
What kind of arthritis does your mum have? Oxycodone is used for pain management but there could be other pain management depending on her arthritis.

I'd always suggest speaking to her GP about her treatment especially if she's having other side effects.
Hope this helps
