Hello lovely people I am newly under rheumatology for what my GP thinks is Rheumatoid arthritis , I have been suffering from severe neck , hand and wrist pain with stiffness and swelling since being unwell in May of this year . My Rheumatoid factor is high in my blood tests but my real problem is with the pain and stiffness in my hands and wonder if anyone has any suggestions as especially in the morning I have trouble grasping anything including a pen or cup of tea it’s like my hand and fingers cannot work it’s so painful so any good would be great it almost feels like my hand on top is full of fluid is this normal with arthritis?

    Hi @Jennymanley

have you seen a hand therapist or occupational therapist? Maybe you could ask for some 'working splints'

they can enable you to pick things up (a bit) when you are flaring as you sound to be ATM.

I hope you get on some meds soon to help you ((()))
