Vibration Plate
Hi. I'm new to the group and this my first post/question. Anyone tried using Whole Body Vibration (WBV) - ie one of those plates that you stand on? I'm awaiting delivery of mine, having read quite a lot about the benefits. I realise that I'm going to start gently but really hoping that it'll help with my hip (awaiting replacement op) and my knees (currently getting more painful). Anyone tried WBV? Thanks

Hello @MyraMac and welcome to the online forum. We are a supportive and friendly group who will always try and help with our experience.
I understand that you are awaiting a hip replacement and you are hoping that a WBV plate may help with pain and strengthening. I hope that some of our members may have experience of using one of these and be able to help. I don't know if you have explored our website but I hope the following links may lead you in to finding more information:
Do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on.
Best wishes
Caryl

It sounds a bit like the machine at the local gym which I was advised only to do for a couple of minutes before my knee revision. Admittedly, I already had two TKRs and two THRs but it might be an idea to check first with your surgeon.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Take a look at these old threads @MyraMac
the subject doesn't come up very often.
Do let us know if it helps
