Dry itchy skin

Morning everyone, while awaiting to get an MRI scan for Psoriatic Arthritis and, with its connection to Psoriasis that my mother had quite bad. It’s been lately my skin has become very dry, itchy and flakey. Especially my face, scalp and hands. I’ve been using Oilatum cream and shower wash but, not really helping. Does anyone have any ideas what’s best.

Hi Iain, I’m also Psoriatic but luckily, so far, much milder with only very small areas and a very itchy back with skin not broken, just a kind of skin crawling feeling. So while I can’t suggest a better emollient it may help to pass on advice given to me by a consultant. When showering daily I use a sponge or Loofah with a hydrating body wash like Dove Hydrating. May possibly help or give you some relief.
