Feeling a bit down today.

Sorry folks. Need a bit of cheering up.

woke up this morning with a bit of a sore back, and is been like it most of the day.

trying not to moan, but feeling a bit down about it. Hoping it’s just a slept funny sort of pain, but there is always that little worry that it might be another bit of me that this Arthritis has got to.

feeling guilty, because I know some of you folk on here struggle so much.

No need ever to feel guilty. We all have down days and your pain is absolutely as valid as any of ours.

I also very much hope you just slept funny or overdid it yesterday.

Have you ever looked at the gentle stretches on the main site? They might really help done cautiously of course. If not I often resort to a warm wheatear the kind you microwave and extra rest.

    Sending some ((()))

  • I know exactly how you feel, every new pain comes with a level of worry with this condition.

Sending hope that things are better today

    Sorry you feeling down @Woofy

I have many a morning like this but am just thankful one part of me is out of pain for that day 🤞

Then plod up and down garden listening and looking at nature which helps me obviously ignoring weeds 😂

    Keep them for gardener.

Chin up and keep moving ❤

@Woofy , don't apologise and don't dare feel guilty. You are no whinger and we all understand the fear and uncertainty that a new pain brings.

Mostly, I find these things turn óut to be, as you say, a 'slept wrong on it' thiing but even they can linger and intimidate us. I have managed to mess up both a knee and a hip for weeks that way. I even managed to mess up a perfectly good back while in hospital! Well done me😆

I hope today is a bit better but, if not, get someone medical to check you over. Take it easy but do try a few very gentle, range of movement exercises. Total lack o movèment is usually not the best option.

    I do wish you well.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

  • Hi Woofy

keep your spirits up , sometimes we can all over do it , I tried to hit afew golf balls yesterday at the driving range and feel fatigued today, however we must never concede defeat and do waht we can when we can. Nice hot bath and some pain killers could be of help .

Hi @Chippy1962 and welcome to the Community. Thank you for posting on the Living with Arthritis forum to encourage others. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that will be your experience.

I am not sure what type of arthritis you have, but it is great to hear you are still playing golf! A hot bath and painkillers sounds a good idea. Tiredness and fatigue can be a symptom of arthritis, so pacing yourself and balancing activity with rest is important too.

It can be really helpful to be in touch with others living with the same condition facing similar challenges who understand and feel first hand what it is like.

I hope you find the information below of some help.

Please keep posting and let us know how you are getting on and I am sure that others will connect with you to share their support and experience as well.

    Best wishes,

    Hi @Woofy

Sorry you are feeling down. It can be really draining being in pain and wondering if any new pain is arthritis or just having slept funny.

There's some really good advice on this site and loads of people with similar experiences who have different coping methods to share. Sometimes it just helps to have a listening ear, so never be afraid to speak up if you're struggling, and you don't need to apologise.

I hope you've had a better couple of days since you posted.
