Nasal flu spray?

Hi, I'm currently awaiting test results - suspected lupus. I've had the flu jab but my son is due to have the nasal flu spray on 10th October. I read on the CDC website that it's not suitable for anyone with lupus or for those who live with them? Has anyone heard this before and, if so, how did it affect you? Did others in your household who would have had the nasal spray have to have a different (non-life) type of vaccine? Thanks in advance.

    Hi @LLL

Welcome to the Online Community. Really pleased you have found us and hope you find the support you need.

With regards the flu spray there is some guidance on Lupus UK website Influenza (flu) vaccine and lupus - LUPUS UK that may help guide you. It mentions if you have been vaccinated 14 days prior to the nasal spray you should be ok.

Please do keep posting and maybe use the search for Lupus and connect with other members.

    Best wishes

    Louisa
