Temperature drop
Shock, the temperature has dropped significantly over the weekend here, and my OA pain has shot through the roof.
I use a heater on my ankle, a tens machine, use Voltarol and take Naproxen.
Anybody got any other remedies for pain relief when the temp drops??
Thanks
David

Hello @daveh1980
You aren't alone! Arthritis seems to get worse in cold and especially damp weather. The main thing is to keep warm and keep moving. I am sure you will get lots of suggestions from this forum.
Best wishes

It definitely gets worse in the cold weather ,I bump my heating up and try to stay in as much as possible, if Igo out I make sure I’m suitably wrapped up, thermal underwire is my winter must.

Hello @Idrus welcome to the Online community.
I see you cope with colder weather by keeping your heating on as well as wearing thermals. Both good ideas. Thanks for sharing them with @daveh1980 .
I don't know which type of arthritis you have no how it affects you, but wanted say keeping active can help us keep warmer too.
Have you seen our 'let's move with Leon' programme? It's a fun gentle exercise programme for all abilities.
I do hope you'll decide to continue using the forum.
My best wishes
Ellen.

the cold weather definitely made my Rheumatoid Arthritis worse. I wear thermal gloves, thermal socks and when out and about a thermal vest.
