Steroid Injection

I had a steroid injection in my left shoulder this helped greatly. I had another in my right shoulder on Monday. Last night I was in more pain than I was prior to the injection. I'm beginning to wish I hadn't had the injection. When is the pain likely to reduce? At the moment the area is throbbing with pain. The inside of the top of my arm feels like a stitch and is extremely stiff.
