Ankle fusion surgery

Hi, I had ankle fusion surgery in early July and had my cast off 3 weeks ago. I am still in pain and finding I can't walk as far as I could before without it swelling and hurting. Has anyone else had ankle fusion, I would like to compare what others post op was like.

I understand from your post that you had ankle fusion surgery a few months ago and have just had your cast removed 3 weeks ago. I am sorry to hear that you are still experiencing pain and difficulty walking. The recovery process can take time. It sounds as if it may help to talk things through with your GP and specialist and ask for your pain medication to be reviewed. I am wondering if you have follow up physiotherapy arranged? It is important to do the right kind of exercises to help improve your mobility now that the cast has been removed.
