Shoulder OA - Options
Heya, I'm new here...
I'm 54 and was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in my right shoulder about 8 months ago - pain started Summer 2022 and prior to that I hadn't experienced any problems.
Have fast-tracked through MSK and saw a consultant in September who offered to put me on the list for a shoulder replacement. I was so shocked (as I thought I'd have to wait until my 60s at least) that I've stalled. I'm going back in 6 months to review.
My question is, has anyone had this op and was it successful? I'm self-employed/freelance so am worried about recovery time and getting back to work. I'm not in too much pain atm as have radically changed my diet which has made the world of difference.
Thanks so much!
