Arthritis in feet
I was recently referred to an orthopaedic surgeon because I have a large bunion on my L foot. He told me he’d not consider surgery on that because the X-rays showed that 2 joints in the middle of that foot have such degeneration from arthritis that they’ve effectively disappeared. I imagine my R foot (not X-rayed) is even worse, because I get more twinges in that one - but not real pain meantime in either foot, and I’m very mobile, specially since THR on R hip in 2020. The advice seems to be to just keep walking as much as I do at present, but I have a horrible mental image of my feet just collapsing at some point if the joints are so badly degenerated. Any tips from the community?
