Hello. I am new to your community and I have joined as I want to communicate with people that understand what it is like to live with Osteoarthritis. I have been in pain for over 10 years and finally received a diagnosis at the end of last year. I am currently waiting for surgery. Managing pain is a struggle and each day is different. I can’t wait to be pain free 🙂

You really are among friends here who understand what you’re going through. All our members live with some sort of arthritis and are keen to share their experiences of how to cope with some of the challenges and to support you in your journey.

After ten years, I can imagine it’s a bit of a relief to receive a diagnosis of osteoarthritis so that you can now begin treatment. Do have a look round the forum where I’m sure you’ll find plenty of posts about managing pain - one of the hardest challenges we face. The page below also gives some helpful suggestions:
