Worst for me is sleeping and steps especially going down. Get so upset can c myself in a wheelchair before I know it.

Hi @AnneF! I was just diagnosed with OA in my hips about 6 weeks ago. Besides finally possessing the knowledge of the cause of the pain, the most helpful thing for me has been my physiotherapist treatments, and her "homework" of daily stretches and exercises. I follow her advice to the T.

I am on duloxetine for pain, and have gone all-in with other mitigations just in case (yoga, red light therapy, TENS, massage, mobility aids). Try and be positive, and even consider talking to a counsellor if you find it is overwhelming or depressing you.

Good luck - joining this community was another one of my favourite first steps!
