End stage hip osteoarthritis
Hi everyone 👋
How do you manage your hip arthritis? I'm end stage and was refused surgery at Nuffield in August due to low BMI and it's a struggle to get through each day. I'm back on the hospital waiting list as a priority 2 patient but there's no date on sight, some others in the urgent category have been waiting 60 and still waiting.
I have tried all the pain relief but currently have Cocodamol 30/500, Naproxen and Codeine as the Butec patches made me feel nauseous and drowsy constantly. I can't walk at all without an aid and I have bad swelling in my legs for some reason, oedema the doctor says.
Nice to be here to share tips and experiences.
