Hello
Hi
my name is Linda, I am 75 years old and have arthritis in both knees and am trying to avoid knee replacements. I have been told to stop doing high impact exercise, so my tap dancing and Zumba days are over, also now find that after being a very strong swimmer, my knees just don’t like it. So I walk my dog 4 times a day and go to the hydrotherapy pool every two weeks, also I try to use my exercise bike.
I can’t take Ibuprofen and would welcome any pain management info. Or exercises that improve the situation.
thanks…….. Linda

Hello @lindadorothy and welcome to the Community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that will be your experience as well.
I've put a link in below to pain management
but also, depending whether their is a location suitable for you there is also the free Nuffield Pain programme
Quite a few members (and one of our moderators) have been on this and it seems to help. Have a look.
Best wishes
Peter

Could you do the front or back crawl, kicking your legs very gently? Breat stroke not recommended for hips anyway.
