I've just been given a date for a hip replacement operation in 4 weeks so decided it was about time I started to get a little more involved in the community

    Operation is a miracle! After two years of inceasingly unbearable pain, I woke up pain free from HRS!

    I had a kind of ache in hip and leg for a couple of weeks, but that's all. Now 6 weeks in I walked two miles yesterday, pain free. It's wonderful.

    Really hope the hip replacement goes well, word of advice it's the exercises after that will help you mend so do keep them up

    Thanks folks, it's great to hear positive results. I'm lucky in that a few people at work have had the op so have been getting some encouragement from them as well
