Any advice welcome
Hi,
I am new here so any advice is welcome. I have had mild psoriasis since I was about 10 (35 now) but this past 2 weeks I have had a very tight feeling in my elbow/knee with mild pain. This has now progressed to my Achilles being very tight and swollen.
I have a doctor's appointment booked but wondered if anyone had the same happen or similar symptoms with their condition?
Cheers guys 😁

Hi @Ricaldo88
I've had psoriasis (PO) from about the age of 15 and at 65 I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) after my knee swelled significantly. It's reckoned that a percentage of people with PO go on to develop PsA. Of people who develop PsA a further percentage develop enthesitis - as I did. Symptoms of enthesitis can be mistaken for other issues such as tennis elbow and plantar fasciitis.
I'm not a medic so I would not for a minute suggest that that's what you are suffering from but I think you might want to ensure your GP is aware of the link between PO, PsA and enthesitis so that further investigation can take place.
I hope you get treatment soon.

Hi @Ricaldo88
I agree with @jamieA your symptoms sounds very like PsA, enthesitis is so painful yet many health care don't even know much about it.
I wish you well and hopefully get some relief from the pain.
