Does delaying antibiotics for an infection cause Rhumatoid to get worse?

Unfortunately, there’s no definite answer to your question. Some types of inflammatory arthritis such as septic arthritis and reactive arthritis can be caused by or triggered by infections, and any sort of infection can sometimes lead to flare-ups in rheumatoid arthritis. Conversely, some antibiotics are thought to disrupt the gut and affect treatment of inflammatory arthritis.
It might be useful if you could explain a little more about why you asked your question. Other members may be able to share their experiences which could help you, although they are their own personal opinions.
Of course, it’s always best to speak to your pharmacist, GP or Rheumatology clinic if possible.
