Gout pain
Hey all, I was originally told I had gout about 18 months ago but GP did not put me on any medication. I’ve had a blood test this week which shows my uric acid well above the upper range, this is coiled with widespread joint pain. The interesting or confusing thing is, whilst I have pain and stiffness in joints none of them are red, hot or inflamed. Has anyone experienced similar? I also don’t drink alcohol or eat many foods high in purines.
For context, I have also been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, I am 44 and been told I need a knee replacement but am too young. I also live with joint hyper mobility syndrome.
I would love to hear of what I am experiencing is typical for gout, I have requested a referral to a rheumatologist.
