Hello I have just joined today.
10 years ago I was told I had wear and tear in my left hip . It took 10 years before I needed a hip replacement.. I had this procedure in December 2023. Nearly 4 months now.
I find my new hip feels very mechanical. I cannot walk as fast as I used to. Results from my last x-ray shows I have it in my right hip and lower spine. At present I have no problems with.
Hello everyone.

@Netty46 welcome! I had mine in December 2023 too and I definitely can’t walk as fast or as far without feeling sore. I’ve exercises to do to improve my gait and been warned not to push myself past soreness, or to allow myself to limp. Full recovery can take longer than we think. I’m grateful I’m pain free though and managing to do things I never dreamed I’d do again. How are you coping with pain, sleeping and everything else?

No. As I am not having problems with it .
