Stairs/toiiet
waiting knee replacement any help in going upstairs and particularly going to toilet. My knees do not want to bend and is agony especially going to toilet. Any advice would be welcomed

Morning @bendy nice to meet you.
If you are female there is no easy solution unless you are happy to use a commode downstairs somewhere private temporarily.
Two handrails can help as can stairlifts or even having a loo put in downstairs, but all are big projects if your TKR is due soon might not be worth doing.

Hi, putting in a second handrail has really helped me get up the stairs. I sort of heave myself up and down! With the loo, maybe a raised toilet seat with arms can help. It certainly helped after my hip replacement. Two relatively cheap options. A chair lift is also a rather more expensive option. I think they’re about £2000 or so but you may not need after you have recovered from your op.
