Flare ups etc
Hello, been a while since I looked over the Arthritis forms.
I’ve recently had a really bad flare in my foot, which of course worked it’s way up and around my body. And after 2weeks ish of arguing with docs I got an injection to calm things down with the inflammation. But the anti tnfs have been working otherwise quite well.
I know how difficult it is with the systems at the minute, but is there any sort of idea/method of control to getting flare ups? Of course they are random and sporadic but I just wondered if there were methods of coping that weren’t a reliance of steroids; usually my crutch.
thank you.

I am very glad to hear things are back under control for you, but can quite understand your desire to prevent future flares from every starting if it's possible.
Like you I find mine are often unexpected, but l recently read this article, Melissa's story. Now she has lupus not necessarily exactly the same condition as you, but scroll down and you can read her tips for managing her flares:
Best wishes
Ellen.
