ESR and CRP!! High!! Help please!
Hi everyone, my wife has had some results back with her ESR down from 125 to 114 and her CSR up from 46.9 to 69.9, she is worried sick. She suffers terribly with anxiety and this is affecting her badly. I think she would be reassured from some fellow Arthur sufferers who could be in the same position, that she is not alone! She has been on meds for Uveitis, and also takes Sulphazaine and Methotroxate. We would be extremely grateful for any advice or tips. Thank you

Hello @DadCat
Would either of you be comfortable giving the helpline a ring? They are open till 6 and reopen in the morning at 9. The number is 0800 5200 520.
Also a good idea to get to speak to a GP to discuss the results?
Here is some general info about stress via the VA website:
And here is a useful page from Anxiety UK ( Personally i find the breathing exercise helpful when I am anxious)
All the best to you both
Joanne

Hi @DadCat we often see bloods which don't reflect our level of pain here and find them confusing and sometimes worrying.
I am so sorry your wife is suffering from anxiety seeing her results like this.
Both of those results sort of indicate inflammation I thought. So If she doesn't feel right - if her arthritis is playing up more than normal or her uveitis is playing up, maybe that explains the fluctuations in the levels?
I agree with @PJoanne and would have a chat with someone on my medical team to get some reassurance.
Take care both of you
Toni x
