Big Toe Arthrodesis
Hey all,
This is my first time on this website. FYI-I'm a 57 year old active male from New Jersey. Just had my right big toe fused about 10 days ago and sadly, only 7 months after a failed cheilectomy. Prior to the cheilectomy, I underwent corticosteroid injections and wore orthotics with a Morton's extension for approximately 3 years. Would love to hear back from anyone who has had this procedure 6 months ago or longer. What challenges did you have adjusting to your 'new normal'? Are you better off now than before the surgery? I just want to manage my expectations moving forward. Thanks.

Hello @FusedAndAbused and welcome to the Community. We area friendly and supportive group and I hope that will be your experience as well.
Our website contains a lot of useful information and I would recommend having a look but try the following article first.
I hope others will connect with you who have had this procedure to share their experience and support, but please do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on.
Best wishes
Peter
