Going abroad with methotrexate

Hi, I am in the UK and I am going to Majorca in a couple of weeks…I take methotrexate and other medication..will I be okay taking this on the plane?? How do I need to store it? Do I need to get anything from my specialist? Does it need to in my hand luggage or checked luggage?

Feeling abit scared as this is my first time going abroad since starting all of this medication

    But generally so long as you have it available for inspection you should be OK. Would be good if you can take your prescription as well to show it is prescribed.

    I flew to Toulouse last September (I'm on MTX tablets and hydroxychloroquine) and had them in my handbag along with a copy of my prescription. I made sure that I also had the patient information leaflet in the labelled boxes too, No questions asked whatsoever! I took enough for the duration of the holiday and a few spare. Hope this helps

    I'm totally with @noddingtonpete . I've been to USA many times with my meth and no problems. I do, always take all my meds as hand luggage, though, ever since a case went awol for à few days. And I always take a prescription for reasons that @noddingtonpete has outlined. Never a problem but, if you're on metoject pens, I think they need a fridge. You need to sort thIs in advance, with your aiŕline.

    It really isn't difficUlt, though. Just go and enjoy but remèmber to beware of the sun.

    If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    As said above, take a original prescription list with you and it should be fine.also make sure the prescription label is on the bottle.

    Only caution i would say is if you take codein or morphine then sniffer dogs will be your friend. been there and got the tee shirt in America 😁 still safe if youve got the prescription and labels.
