Pain management
hi, I,m 74 have OA in knees, i,ve also had carpal tunnel surgery and i,m hypothyroid.
I,m waiting a referral to orthopedics but they have previously told me i,m too heavy for surgery.
Im in a no win, the only exercise i can do is aquarobics which i do 3 times a week, i have a lot of numbness in hands and knees. Hands due to carpal tunnel, knees supposedly from OA.
SO far no effective pain relief. I,m currently taking theracurcumin, fish oil and celadrin. Dr prescrib3d gabapentin but i,m loath to take it as side effect is weight gain. I eat a healthy diet ,low carb but with thyroid issues weight sticks like glue. I,m discouraged. I,ve recently had to purchase a mobility scooter as i cant walk even around supermarket any longer.
