X-rays

can I ask my doctor for up to date x-rays to be done on my knees to see what stage they are at as they have both got worse, I have osteoarthritis in them

    Hello @catwoman and welcome to the online community,

    You’re quite within your rights to ask for up to date x-rays on your knees if you feel they are getting worse. Before your appointment , it might be useful to jot down a list of points you can talk about with your GP - for example how the pain affects you on a daily basis , when the pain is worse, things that you can’t do now that you could do when you had your previous x-ray, and also the ways that you have tried to do to help ease the pain.

    I suspect given a good description of what has changed about your knees, the doctor can provide some top notch advice on what you should be doing next, and provide an X-ray letter to check whats happening too.
