Navicular Arthritis
Hi. I've had Osteoarthritis for many yrs. Hip, back, but most of my troubles/pain is my right foot/ankle. I had a Subtalar Fusion years ago & a big toe fusion. Generally well & mobile, I'm 62.
Last few months I've had horrible mid-foot pain, right foot again..MRI showed Navicular Arthritis with bone oedema. The pain has been horrible. I do Aqua Aerobics several times a week, but even that is painful now- when usually it is a great help.
My consultant give me 1 month of Meloxicom, advised to cut Aqua Aerobics down a little bit. He said the next step is a steroid injection. I've had many of these in various joints over the years, never really work for me.
Meloxican has helped a little bit. BUT I can still only walk for 15-20 mins before the pain stops me.
I am hoping fellow sufferers on here have knowledge of Meloxicam and possibly advise on Navicular arthritis. Very grateful for any thoughts & advice.
