Hip osteoarthritis flare up

Been having severe pain in right hip buttock leg etc for about 4 weeks now using tramadol and paracetamol but they hardly scratch the surface. What I was wondering how long does a flare up usually last know everyone is different but some idea. I am having a steroid injection in a weeks time. Thank you.

I’m just coming out of a flare up. It lasted just over 5 weeks. I still need to be careful not to do too much walking, but the pain is now manageable.
