Charities

GOod morning, afternoon or evening. When it comes to charities we all know they do good, we all donate, some of us fundraise, but.... how does one actually access the help that they provide?

    Good morning @Topher3121

Depends what kind of help we want. I mean this is help from a charity just talking to each other here on the forum. Ringing the helplines here is another, as is looking at any of the information on the website. People get help from this charity too by joining any of the local clubs. I imagine our donations/fundraising goes to funding all of this sort of thing.

Some charities though give out monetary assistance don't they? When I was a social worker (back in the day) I often contacted charities (like Rowntrees) for financial help maybe for a child who had a disability.

When my daughter had leukaemia quite a few of the kids got days out again applied for by the hospital's social workers. She also benefited from support from the teenage cancer trust - was given a real hair wig for example.

Hope that was what you were asking?
