Anti TNF injections and hayfever
I started anti TNF injections in November 2022. I have always suffered from hayfever but the summer after starting anti TNF injections (Cimzia) was completely different. It started affected my breathing and everything was worse than normal. At one point 111 wanted to call my an ambulance as my breathing was so bad. I refused on the basis I can’t have an ambulance for hayfever. I had a few courses of steroids was given an inhaler and referred to allergy clinic. The allergy clinic has given me pollen tablet s to desensitise me to the pollen. Yesterday the hayfever kicked in badly again affecting breathing and now up with a nose bleed from all the sneezing. Has anyone else encountered this????

Morning @Lisa1982 sorry to hear you are suffering.
Mine does not sound as bad as yours but I too have noticed hayfever/cold symptoms in the last couple of weeks I put it down to crazy weather has not had hayfever for years now.
I am taking hayfever tablets and paracetomol aswell as my normal RA meds MTX and Hydroxychlorquine to help with this problem and will discuss with consultant on my next visit.
Can you call your consultant for advice??
I am sure others will connect with you soon.
Best wishes @Naomi33

Ive tried many in the past but have stuck with Loratadine for the past 20 years which dont seem to have any side effects with taking 20mg mtx a week.
as mentioned its worth speaking to rhumy or gp to find out if you need to change hay fever tabs.
