Knee support

Hi everyone to make my working day easier on my back I have to do alot of getting down on my knees and back up, I was wondering if anyone has found a light weight knee support that doesn't move

I've tried a few over the years before I was diagnosed when I thought it was from over exercising but found them uncomfortable and ended up rolling down.

  • Hello

Yes I have a neurone one which is really good it is made of wet suit material. Stays on secure. You can get two types a pull on types that as additional secure straps. Also a wrap around one again with straps.

I have been using these years and they do the job, if you get the right size they will not fall down. They are called Donjoy hinged knee wraps are the ones I have. You can get them on the internet

    Hi @Katherine,

There are a lot of different sorts in differing sizes and materials. I visited my local independent pharmacy which tend to stock a much bigger range than the big high street chains and tried a few on for fit and comfort in their consulting room, coming away with 2 different types to suit the activities I wanted them for.

  • I have bought a big bulky knee support which you wind on like a clock. It's faulty and we have to keep stopping to tighten it. When it works, it offers freedom and respite from pain. Then something pops and I am in painful immobility again. We use duct tape by the miles to get it to stay on without popping out and causing acute sudden pain. Without my husband's help, this would not even be a possibility.

They are working on a new improved brace that has the bands right sized and which doesn't pop out..

Fingers crossed. It isn't magic but it adds to the options. Once it works properly.
