Methotrexate Injections
Hi, Seen my rheumatologist yesterday and, she’s now put me on Methotrexate Injections. Not quite sure what to expect but, seen there are a few people had bad experiences with these injections.
Also, we’re off on holiday and read that I’ll have to take the needles in my hand luggage. I’ve downloaded the form to take them but, has anyone had trouble going through security with them.
Cheers Iain

Morning @Iain2
Sorry I do not know the answer about MTX injections and travel but I too will be investigating in the future hopefully.
I started MTX injections 12 weeks ago first of all felt good but now pain returning maybe a flare up but seeing consultant soon so maybe discuss higher dosage.
The following link may be helpful …………………
Good luck and keep posting I am sure others will connect with you soon.
Best wishes @Naomi33

Hi. I’ve recently been put on methotrexate injections and no problems.
Once you have done your first one you will be fine. I don’t feel he needle going in, but it stings a tiny bit when you remove the injection. Can’t help with the travel side of things , but I am sure someone will be along soon to advise. Good luck
