Methotrexate pen spillage - which bin?

Hi,

unfortunately, a drop of the Methotrexate leaked out today. I cleaned it up and put the tissue in a plastic bag. Should all of that go in the sharps bin? Does anyone know?

Hi Cara123.

It happened to me last week only 3rd injection. I just popped the tissue in normal rubbish bin, it was only a spot.

I found counting an extra 5 seconds after the click of metaject pen stops any leakage. Hope that helps.
