Fell over

I’m so embarrassed I fell over on Saturday during a day out for my partners 50th, I had planned everything so I wasn’t on my feet to long, booked a table, took my walking stick and arranged taxis from train to the venue ☺️ yet towards the end my hip just didn’t want to clear a curb and down I went 😬 glasses went flying 😅 luckily not to much damage just grazed knee’s but I’m very very sore all over 😬😬😬

Oh dear @bluegirl52 Sorry to hear about your fall. Let's hope the only damage is to your dignity!

It's good that you can laugh about it

Sometimes, @bluegirl52 , it's when we try to do everything right that it all goes wrong..

Some years ago, after a family meal at a restaurant, I completely forgot that the pavement outside sloped towards the road. As I came out, last, i went a purler. My son turned round, not quick enough to stop me, but quick enough to get his foot under my head just before it hit the pavement.

I realised, afterwards, that, if his timing had been fractionally out, he'd have booted me, head first, back into the restaurant. Ah, all those years of football training were not wasted😆

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
