  • Hi seibek. I've recently been diagnosed with arthritis in my big toes, though it's affecting all my feet. I can't offer much help as it's all new to me. I'm really struggling with everything. Bought loads of new shoes but nothing is comfortable. Walking is no longer the pleasure it was, I don't drive and am used to going for long walks. I'm seeing foot and ankle PEO at the hospital on Monday. My life feels like it's gone down the pan.

    Hi @Fleurie,

I am so sorry to hear you are going through a rough time, I fully understand how a new diagnosis can affect your life but the community and helpline are here to help you through it. Things will eventually feel better and you will gain a sense of control over your diagnosis but it is fully natural to feel unsteady at first.

I have found some information on foot and ankle pain and hopefully, this can be of assistance to you.

Please keep us updated on how you are getting on and feel free to continue to use this platform as an outlet.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend and I look forward to hearing from you :)
