I'm knackered!

my inflammations way down and I've still some pain in shoulders and stiff hands but I have periods when I feel absolutely knackered and I need to sit down, even after a good night's sleep. is this a common thing? , is it just my system fighting itself and tiring me out? anyone else experience this? thanks all A.

    Hi there.

Ive come onto versus arthritis this morning because I'm feeling the same as you.

Basically to know I'm not alone.

I've woken up absolutely exhausted. Never experienced it this bad before. I have osteoarthritis in several joints.

Just going to have a rest up day to see if that helps.

    Hope you're ok.

Yes, it is common with me. I have AS which is a rheumatoid arthritis. Have just had covid. first time. the covid went to my joints - anyone else had this?

With the tiredness, for me it can go as quickly as it comes and sometimes distraction can help.

  • you will know what I mean when I say its good to to know its not just me. As my joints are not painfull just now im finding the fatigue the hardest thing to deal with, I thought the fatigue would go away with the pain.

  • Me too. In the last few days it has been particularly bad. I get a bit shaky and all of a sudden feel wiped out. 😏

  • I'v e been recently been diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis but before that I was never sure whether its was the arthritis that made me fatigued or my blood pressure. I've suffered for 30 years plus (from being a teenager).

My symptoms seem to be also affected by pollen count/weather, this year is the first time in years i'be been noticeably worse than normal.

Glad I'm not suffering alone, my wife thought it was due to lack. of exercise, now I can share that its common.

just got diagnosed 3 months ago with psoriatic arthritis.

The fatigue has been horrible. But now I’m getting pain everywhere from the neck to my toes and fatigue.
I was an artic driver after the military, but in may I suffered really bad fatigue whilst driving, docs signed me off for a month. I’m still suffering, so I’ve stopped working until the methotrexate and sulfasalazine has started working, and I’m hoping for normality. (Which I’ve heard won’t happen)

After 3 weeks I was taken off the methotrexate because my liver function blood test spiked. It’s now back down to a normal level and they told me to continue the methotrexate from tomorrow.

6 months ago I was as fit as a fiddle. Now I have days where I just can’t function, even have a walking stick and I’m only 39!!

My mum has rheumatoid, going on 30 years.

I hate the fatigue. It’s horrible.
