Recovery timeline from total knee replacement
Hi
I had a Total Knee Replacement 6 months ago and would appreciate others who have had this done sharing their experiences.
At 6 months I have fairly good mobility and usage of the knee but still have the 'tight band' feeling around my knee and tingling and stiffness. This can be quite unpleasant at times.
Have any of you experienced the same thing and did it eventually settle and if so how long did that take? I am due to have my second knee done soon but really need knee one to settle first.

Hello @CarolineW I guess we all recover differently but whilst waiting for a more informed response you could try searching the Community to see what others have written. Just use the magnifying glass symbol at the top of the page.

Hi @CarolineW nice to meet you☺️.
Sorry I have not had a TKR but did a quick search for you about recovery post knee. There might be some useful posts here to help you some will be totally irrelevant:
Unfortunately for you most of our recent surgeries have been hip replacements, but well I remember the year of the TKRs the movement (dare I say it) was lead by @Helenbothknees who had both done (and even wrote a book) but soon joined by many more here is one of her threads:
It's an old one so i don't think you can add to it, but maybe someone there will a) still be posting or b) mention something similar to your own experience.
Sorry that wasn't much help
Take care
Toni x
