Face to face pip assessment

hey, I have a face to face pip assessment on the 1st of August 😬 I’m nervous but it’s at 2.30pm and a 25 min drive so I’ll definitely be at my worst with my hip arthritis then, I don’t drive my manual car anymore but can borrow my sons and just take my time 😉

my face to face assessment wasn’t as scary as I was expecting, he didn’t rush me and listened to my answers and even elaborated on some. Today I received a txt to say I have been awarded pip, not sure at what level until I receive the letter but I had a little cry as it’s not about the money it’s about being believed that you do need that extra help, cause you do struggle and are in constant pain. 🤓😎☺️

Well done @bluegirl52 I'm so glad to hear your appointment was much less scary that you had feared and that you have been awarded PIP.

I understand how you feel about being believed😊

If it's at a higher level it may be a passport benefit to other things including a Blue Badge so fingers crossed for you.

    Ellen.

hi, thank you so much ☺️ I’m pleased to say I have been awarded at the standard rate for both, but I will be asking for a mandatory reconsideration for the mobility as the claim that driving a automatic car means I’ve strength in my left hip to walk reliably 😳 I drive my sons automatic as I can’t drive my manual due to the arthritis in my hip 😬 I also had an assessment for blue badge and was accepted 😀
