hi
Sorry to hear you’re in pain. Have you had physio? What exercises do you do?
I’ve found cycling has been really helpful and has helped reduce pain levels. Also various exercises in the gym on equipment plus free weights. I exercise at home and keep as active as possible. I didn’t get any relief from anti inflammatories and GP did prescribe opioids but they did nothing for me. So I’ve managed on paracetamol.
You could try a pain management group or use the online option- again useful as are the exercises on this website.
Hopefully things will settle for you.

thank you so much for responding. Again this is a new diagnosis for me. I was diagnosed only about three weeks ago. So I am trying to educate myself on what I can do because I feel so lost. I appreciate any suggestions and or information so I can start looking into more things. I have pain on both my knees, my left hand and my left foot mostly. We haven’t started medication but they are going to order an MRI that is to ensure that it is in fact psoriatic arthritis. The doctor say takes minimum four months for the medication to start working. So I hope I can find some answers ASAP because I have a baby who’s only six months , and I am depressed about all this.

And I am absolutely open to any suggestions and exercises that would help.

Hello @lola916
Have you had a look at the information here?
Please have a read of this as well;
I would recommend giving the helpline a ring as well, as there is nothing like having a chat through what's going on with someone.
The details for the helpline are below.
best Joanne

Hi @lola916
Nice to meet you. I am so sorry this has struck when you ahve a new baby to cope with. I was lucky mine were a bit older when it started for me.
I did read this a while ago it might be a reassuring read for you?
Unfortunately some women are unlucky in that pregnancy hormones seem to trigger arthritis. Good luck an di hope you get some treatment ASAP.
Take care
Toni x

thank you so much for this. Reading about others’ stories helps me. Last night my baby was sick with a cough and fever and I had the worse arthritis pain on my foot that I had ever had. Those are the moments I cry. New journey to me. My MRI is next week and hope to start medication immediately.
