Partial fusion confusion
I twisted a very large jar open in November 2021 and damaged both wrists, but especially my right wrist. I was seen in A&E and had an x-ray, orthopedics in December. Was told no fractures and some arthritic changes compared to another x-ray of 2018 when this was picked up then after an injury at work. Spent most of 2022 telling doctors and physios I thought I had ligament damage. They would never listen and just spoke of fusion or wrist replacement for the arthritis problem. Recently done my own MRI which showed a Perilunate dislocation with deep tears to tendon and 3 ligaments. Looking for another hospital now who may offer different procedure than fusion. Can anyone advise me over this difficult situation. North west England area.
