Hip surgery

Hello, in my first post I said I was 87 years old but meant to say I was 78,what I am wondering is how many people on here have had a hip operation at age 80 + and if you found it easy to cope with, or decided not to get the operation at that age.

I think I will be around that age before my operation comes up on the waiting list.
