Hi all, after a couple of months of feeling pretty good my inflammatory arthritis (shoulder & hips) has been getting worse again. I need to go to the loo as soon as I waken every morning and as my arthritis gets worse so do my loose bowels, I'm going 2-3 time first thing in the morning and then feel ill. This is how it went last year when I was first diagnosed. Does anyone else have this problem? I guess its connected to my arthritis!

please see your GP and have tests to rule a huge range of things out including coeliac disease. If bowel movements change it’s always best to get checked out.

It could be many things, as @KC1 said, but also it could be connected to your arthritis because it's an autoimmune disease and different places, not only joints could be affected during flare ups. I think you'd need to see a digestive specialist so you can find where this is coming from. Take care

Quite a few of us do have stomach issues @andywright . I have often wondered whether there is a link. I wonder though what medication you are on? Nsaids like ibuprofen and naproxen used to give me the two bob bits.

Just a thought.
