Double ankle fusion

Hi, I've not been on here for a while but wondered if anyone has had a double ankle fusion and can offer any advice on whether it's worthwhile and if mobility is improved after the op.

I had right knee replaced last year, left one is needing done but been advised to have double ankle fusion first but there's a two year waiting list.
