Hi @ocean , thanks for posting your question on the community 😊. Unfortunately, I cannot offer any input on your particular situation, however, a Google search brought up a few different experiences that people have had (but it is important to remember that every person is different and what may work for one person may not work for another).

Hopefully, someone with more experience comes along and you get the answers you're looking for!

I'm old enough to be completely mystified by the term so I looked it up and found a whole host of things, including NSAIDS, that one should avoid eating, drinking or doing before and after having lip fillers. And this by a clinic which offered it. Your choice, though.

    Thanks for your input 😎

I am hoping to get fillers (not for lips) not out of vanity but due to various health conditions that have left their mark on my sunken face 😥 I have a long list of autoimmune diseases as well as various arthritic problems. It's left me feeling withdrawn and that's why i want to try to do something about it.

I see. Well, the sites that came up only mentioned lip fillers. I tried NHS but nothing which might tell us something. Why not ask your GP or local pharmacist?

If you have autoimmune disease I would be very cautious about having fillers. I have heard they can cause allergic reactions. I would certainly see your GP before having anything done. Some of these clinics do not always have fully qualified staff.

I did speak to my consultant this morning and he didn't really give me a yes or no ! I guess the GP is next on the list then ! 😎
