New diagnosis
Hi I’m new to the group just today I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis just yesterday I’ve suffered with what I thought was severe hip pain for approximately two months which seemed to come on suddenly I struggle walking being very painful I bought a stick when in New York last month I obese but have lost 20kg since April this year I’m taking pain killers and started exercising in Ernest today following the routine on Verdi’s arthritis on YouTube if anyone has any ideas it really gets me down at times

Sorry to hear you are experiencing so much pain. You are doing all the right things, by losing weight and doing some light exercise it should help to improve your pain and reduce stiffness. Just make sure you don't overdo it as you could end up causing more harm than good. Here is an article on Osteoarthritis of the hip, hopefully you find it helpful.
