How soon can I swim

I am hope to have a new hip soon, then a new complete knee. I am swimming a couple of times a week, in addition to doing as much walking as I can to help keep me mobile.

How soon after a new hip will I be able to restart? Obviously only front crawl or backstroke.

Morning @Mommabear have you spoken to your doctor / consultant about swimming and exercise after operation?

Hope all goes well with new hip and knee replacement I do not have the answer but I am sure others will connect with you soon with their experiences.
