PRP injection treatment
After my appointment with Orthopaedic surgeon today via video call , I have been told I need a knee replacement , unfortunately because of my weight I need to lose weight before this can be done , I need to lose 6 stone !
I am trying to lose weight but it’s difficult with my poor mobility and low mood due to the pain level I’m in.
He has however put me on a waiting list to have PRP injection treatment.
My question is has anyone had any experience of this type of treatment ?

Oooh! this is available on the NHS @Pommymommy1 that's great I hope it helps while you try to lose weight.
Not easy at all while you are less mobile, but it can be done we've had people on here lose quite substantial amounts of weight as wheelchair users too. They did do it with the help of slimming clubs though I think if I remember rightly.
Problem is as much as anything what you've said about feeling lower than normal with the pain. Fingers crossed the PRP makes enough of a difference to lift you up.
Wishing you loads of luck and would be very very interested to hear how you get on
