Footwear.

Hi all,

I have now been living with osteoarthritis gor a lot of years now, it is very much widespread throughout my body, but especially in my knees and feet.

I still work, although I have cut my hours down to 20 hours, it's still very hard work, given I spend the hours on my feet.

Unfortunately now my feet are turning in, especially my right one, that has turned in so much, I walk on the outside of my foot, this results in more problems, mainly lots of hard dry skin, as I walk on the outside of my feet, walking has become a real problem, especially trying to keep my balance.

Due to other problems surgery is a very last resort, so we are trying to stabilise and keep the pain away with custom made orthotics, this is also proving a challenge.

I have spent 100s of pounds trying to find the right footwear to make things better, this is something I am really struggling with.

The reason for my post, I was hoping there may be people on here who could recommend some shoes, trainers, boots etc, and even some indoor items(slipper type) I could use to get some comfort, I am really struggling at the moment, especially when it comes to work wear, if you could give me some ideas, I would be very, better still send me some links etc.

Kind regards,

Paul.

hi Paul, my daughters feet have also turned inwards making it impossible to wear most footwear. The only things she can wear with any sort of comfort are crocs. Although not very supportive they cause the least amount of pain. Hope that helps some bit. Laura

I use the ones that Jamie Rednap advertises and they work well for me :)
