Psoriasic arthritis
hi there I’m from Belfast and I’m 23 and suffer from Psa does anyone have positive experiences o n Humira . Methotrexate gave me fatty liver and now I’m scared to try Humira with a lot of people in my family having heart issues . Thanks x

Sorry to hear your concerns about PSA and medications. I to had problems with MTX and liver so decided to stop taking and awaiting new alternative so understand what you are going through. I have not heard of Humira so cannot comment.
Have you spoken to your consultant about your concerns and asked for about alternatives ???

I'm not on Humira but another adalimumab biologic Amgevita. As far as I'm aware Humira was the original adalimumab drug but when its patent ran out a number of biologics known as biosimilars became available to the NHS at much lower cost. I've been on the biosimilar Amgevita since late July 2021 and have had no issues though I'm very aware it leaves immunocompromised.
